Description

Laurel Firestone, Co-Executive Director of the Community Water Center, will discuss how disadvantaged communities, and their advocates, have made great strides in adapting to water supply shortages caused by drought and contamination of aquifers.  Laurel will talk about the challenges that remain, including the capacity limitations that many communities have to ensure sufficient financial, managerial, and technical to operate and maintain their water systems, as well as some of the solutions that are being pursued to address those challenges.
